ICELAND
The land of ice, fire and elves! Iceland is a heady mix of nature’s majesty and Nordic culture. It’s also quite possibly the strangest place on the planet - and that’s exactly why you should go. Sit under a lighthouse outside Reykjavík to watch the Northern Lights dance over Iceland’s capital city, spot minke whales while afloat the Atlantic Ocean or swim in one of the hot geysers provided by Iceland’s unusual geology. This country will surprise even the most experienced of travellers.

Snorkelling at Silfra
Snorkelling and Iceland don’t seem to go hand in hand, but there is one spot on the island that is particularly well-suited for underwater exploration: Silfra. Located in Thingvellir National Park, the Silfra rift is a fissure that lies between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The water is fed from the meltwater of a nearby glacier and visibility is top notch.
